It wasn't exactly pitch black, but dark enough not to able to see where to go under normal scenarios. School was let out about an hour ago and most people were outside enjoying the marvelous sunshine that warmed their skin. That time of year, not the cold time but warm time, seemed to make every living thing want to go out for a good time. People could have a good time anywhere as long as the sun was out..
Fang sighed into the silent darkness that engulfed him. Attending a day school while being a vampire wasn't the easiest thing in the world. He was use to going to a night school for poor and troubled kids, he wasn't really troubled, but had always been poor. Just a couple weeks ago he would have been fast asleep at the moment without a single care in the world, until night came along. Then he'd prepare for school, kiss his mom goodbye, hunt down an unsuspecting human, then proceed on his merry way. It was a familiar routine, adopting to this new one of disgusting blood bags and waking up in the morning was such a drag.
The sun wasn't exactly something he felt like facing at the moment, so Fang had come to the Auditorium instead while no one was using it. The lights had been turned off, but he had no problem with moving around in the dark, he could see just fine. He'd wanted to explore his new school a little too and had found the Sound Room. Music was always something he'd loved to hear, but had never had the chance to play himself. Fang was a little bit afraid he'd break something though so followed a look but don't touch policy as he examined the instruments. He probably wouldn't even notice if anyone were sneaking up right behind him.

William had let out his last class of the day when he started for the Auditorium. He had been sidetracked with blood bags, the horrid things. William had never had fresh blood, but blood bags were terrible. It was like eating a saltine after it hiding in your cupboard for a year and a half.
He walked into the auditorium with blood bag in hand. He took the last gulp of the stale crap before throwing into the trashcan near the entrance. He walked up the stage and headed for the sound room. He walked into the sound room so he could listen to some much deserved music, when he heard something in the dark. He took a few steps back to the door and hit the lights, not that he couldn't see anything it just made it easier.
As the light flickered on he saw a young man walking though the instruments, William cleared his thoat, "Hello, young man," William spoke in a firm voice.

The unexpected sound behind him made Fang jump slightly, but he turned around and looked at what had caused it with a blank expression. He had just been admiring some kind of giant violin... Chellos was it? Nah that was too funny a name to belong to an instrument. Anyway he'd been admiring this giant whatever when someone came up behind and made their presence known. He hadn't even noticed the lights that had flicked on.
Being new himself, Fang wasn't really sure if he should recognize the kid in front of him or not, but the way he said 'young man' was a bit odd. The other boy only looked about a year older, but whatever, not like Fang was going to reprimand him or anything for simply greeting him.
"Hey there. I in the way or something?" Fang took a step back toward the wall, thinking the kid had come to pick up the giant thing since his tone was that of a firm one. He wasn't much of a conversationalist and didn't want to make the guy wait. Then for some reason some smell seemed to be taunting him and he was getting hungry. It was a familiar scent, but faded just enough for him not to be able to place it.

OCC: Sorry it wasn't long, couldn't think of much.
"In the way? Oh, no," William said with a laugh. He looked at the kid as he moved out of his way. William looked down and he fixed the hem of his shirt, "My name is Mr. Murphy, I'm a teacher here at this academy," William smiled. "Something wrong?" William asked a concerned look crossing his face.

Sierra scurried in through the auditorium. The door she flung open cast a long pillar of light across the cavern-like room before disappearing again. She didn't dare turn on the lights, afraid of being caught in here without permission. With her piano books clutched tightly to her chest, Sierra picked her way up the steps to the actual stage. She quickly slipped through the curtains, running backstage where a simple wooden piano was set.
"It's been awhile." She crooned, running her slender fingers along the keys. The ebony and ivory called to her with their smooth, melodic touch. She loved to pretend her instruments could hear her, it made her feel closer to them. After a few moments of 'reunion', Sierra sat on the small bench in front of it and propped her music onto the ledge. Her eyes flashed over the paper, making sure she remembered it, and she began to play.
At first it was slow, gentle, and quiet. There was passion flowing through her fingertips, even more than when she played violin. After a few moments, the worry of being caught faded as she continued to play. The music eventually grew in volume, echoing through the auditorium and creating a gorgeous sound. Sierra felt like she was wrapped in the song, and nobody could pull her out. If only her room was big enough for a piano... she always felt so lost when she was away from it.

Fang blinked a couple times, not sure if he'd heard this Murphy guy right. He didn't think there was anything wrong with his hearing, but he couldn't have sworn the kid said he was a teacher. Though he had no idea how this school ran itself, the idea that people so young could be placed in charge of a class seemed really weird. Hell, the guy was the same height as Fang.
Picking up the teacher's concern, he reassured, "Nah, nothings wrong, just don't feel like going outside so I came in here and was looking at this monster." Since he'd already moved Fang gestured at the giant violin thing he'd been standing in front of. "You know what it's called?"
In the background piano music started to play, the instrument apparently separated from the others because of its size. He didn't mind striking up a conversation with Mr. Murphy, but it was a bit hard to hear when someone was playing passionately on a piano and you had sensitive hearing. It was a beautiful song and all, don't get him wrong, but he wasn't exactly in the mood to listen to music. A little peace and quiet now and then, that was all Fang asked for, it wasn't much but with a place like this apparently there was no such thing as going anywhere but your room to relax.
Sighing Fang shrugged at Mr. Murphy, indicating that he probably wouldn't be able to hear him while the song lasted. He didn't show any kind of annoyance, but was indeed just that. Barging in and asking whoever it was not to play though wouldn't be right, they could be practicing for some kind of show, it'd be rude to inturrupt.

Sierra sighed deeply, listening as the last chord traveled through the gaping room. She eventually let her foot fall of the pedal, and she stared longingly at her music."In every heart, there is a room..." She whispered to herself, touching the paper with her fingertips. She had played the same lullaby her mother used to sing to her every night. The same lullaby she sang to Zane the night when the Fenris attacked. The same lullaby that haunted her memory every day. And the one the made her cry the most.
Right on cue, crystal-like tears rolled down Sierra's cheek and onto the hard black floor. She removed it from the piano, holding the paper in her hands. It was crisp and less bendy since this particular piece had fallen with her that day in the pool. She had been filled with joy when Astrid saved it, for even though it was committed to memory. She couldn't bear to lose the exact paper her mother fave her when she was four.
Eventually it was too much. Sierra grabbed her papers, pulling away from the piano and flinging herself into a pile of pillows used in acting scenes. She curled up tight, holding the music like it was a long lost friend, and let all the tears come out. Even the ones from the night before, when she had been too prideful to let Zane see her cry. But now, to her knowledge, there was nobody there.
OOC: Hey Fang? Do you think maybe Fang could like Sierra? I was looking for some Drama, because Zane likes her, and she likes Zane, but then she can run into liking both of them? I just though it would be fun.

William watched as the boy blinked a few times, probably in disbelief that he was a teacher. William smiled back warmly. Nothing was wrong with the kid, he just doesn't feel like being outside? How interesting. William thought to himself. He looked over at the cello and chuckled a bit. "I believe it's called a-" His answer stopped short due to a piano playing, rather loudly. William sighed letting his shoulders slump.
He looked back over to the kid with a annoyed glance on his face. Really? William thought. He can't hear me now, that's for sure. William let the music play for a moment before he walked over to the door that he had just entered.
Just as he poked his head out the music stopped, How strange William thought as he walked out all the way into the open. He looked further back stage and saw the piano, someone was sitting there, weeping, is what it looked like. William started to walk over there when the girl seemed to have flung herself over to a pile of pillows that William didn't have an idea for.
He watched as she wept into the pillows and it made William, not only confused, but made him sad. He walked over the pile. "Hey, are you okay?" William spoke, his voice soft to the crying girl, he knelt down to the ground. "Is there something I can do?"

Sierra flinched, but didn't move. She glanced back to see a boy who appeared her age, but she could see his fangs. Vampire. She attempted to bring her tears to a stop, so now she was performing a series of depressed sniffs. She shifted herself deeper into the pillows, pulling a few on top of her."No." Eyes closed, she answered both of the questions that way. The music was still hugged tightly to her, and her grip tightened as if she feared the boy would take it.
It was one of those rare moments, when Sierra was raw, open, and sensitive. She was like a 4 year old who just dropped their ice cream in the sun, but in her case it wasn't like she could get new parents. No, she couldn't. Sierra pulled another pillow over her head, willing for the boy to go away. Not like she had mind control or anything. After awhile of silence, she curled her feet so she was completely submerged in stage pillows."Sorry." She murmured through layers of cotton and fabric. "I get carried away. Did I bother you?"

This week was just not his. First the umbrella kid, and now a piano kid. Fang was starting to believe that this school had it out for him. His only reprieve was that Mr. Murphy looked as agitated as Fang felt. It was a plus, if a very small one.
Fang debated whether or not to follow the teacher into the separated room. It wasn't like he had any sort of motivation to go in. Except of course the name of that instrument. Mr. Murphy knew the name and if he did follow the guy Fang would know it too once this whole Piano thing was cleared up. So that sort of settled it, he followed. Why was the instruments name important to him in any way? It wasn't really, just a cool looking thing that he wanted to be able to identify and be able to reference for later use. Simple curiosity.
The need to ask whoever-it-was vanished as soon as Mr. Murphy stuck his head into the room. Poof, just like that. It wasn't over just like that though. Something seemed to grab the teacher's attention and drag him into the room. Fang glanced over to, but paused by the doorway, unsure how far he was willing to go into the unknown. After the brief pause he figured 'what the hey', and proceeded inward, just barely catching the conversation.
Long blond strands of hair disappeared beneath a pile of pillows that some kids were probably too lazy to pick up after rehearsal. Some of them were damp with what could only be tears after what Fang heard of the conversation. Even if he had no idea who she was, Fang wasn't about to sit by while a girl cried, she didn't seem like she wanted to come out at the moment though. 'well, only one thing to do now.' he thought, his personality flipping from emotionless to dark playfulness.
Pretending as if nothing in the world were wrong, Fang circled around Mr. Murphy. "Well, looks like that kid who was bothering us is finally gone." He didn't acknowledge the girl at all, but it was obvious that he was answering her question, "Oh and look what we have here." Going over to the pile of pillows Fang estimated where the girl probably was and laid down so that he was facing the ceiling. "Man these pillows are comfy, come on over." He patted the pillows next to him, indicating that Mr. Murphy should join him. The goal was to get the girl out to talk to them without forcing her out.
