Overall Appearance: -at least 1 full paragraph- Astrid is a tall teen with blonde hair (which she often hides under her cap) and light blue eyes. On her arms she has dark scars in the shape of flames. She got them in the accident that sent her and her brother to the academy. She has a habit of drawing on herself, and is something of an artist.

When Astrid was little, she found she could play with water in ways the other children could not. Often they called her a freak and left her to play alone, for her brother was with his friends. So she became very skilled with her powers.
One day when Astrid and Kronos were 11, they were playing together. It was one of the rare moments they were alone. Astrid began to show off her powers to her brother. Kronos was not impressed, though, and he began to show her his powers. He hadn't told his sister about his fire powers. He accidentally burnt Astrid's arms, and set thier playroom on fire in the process.
Luckily the two escaped, but their house could not be saved. When the authorities contaced the twins' parents at work, they knew they could no longer keep their children a secret. They had known about Astrid for years, but didn't know what Kronos would turn out to be. Astrid and Kronos were placed in the hands of the law and sent to the academy, where they have been for 4 years.

Astrid is a very warm, welcoming person. She likes to make new friends and greatly enjoys swimming. She can't really call it swimming because she can breath underwater most of the time, but the water calms her down if she's angry. She opposes fire because it dries up her powers and makes her sick easier.
Astrid is usually first to greet the new students. She is very bubbly and carefree, though she can be excessively welcoming at the start of the year. Her best friend is her brother Kronos, and she hangs out with him all the time.

Kronos is shy. He lets his sister make all the friends, because those who like him will come to him. He is funny, smart, and devoted. He likes to play with fire, and since his accident 5 years ago he has learned to master his powers. He would never harm anyone he cares about on purpose.
His only flaw is he has trouble oncentrating, and if he were to be distracted when using his opwers, things would go very bad very fast. It doesn't help that when he is a griffin, he is highly unpredictable. He is the best of friends, once you get to know him. He is also a big prankster ad likes to have a few laughs every so often.
