Unappetizing

[Fang]

People came up to him because he was a vampire? Hah, not likely, more like they wanted to know if he'd bleached his hair or if that was the natural color. He'd be a rich man if he could charge a dime per person when they asked that question. In truth he wasn't all that showy about his being a vampire, he'd had to hide what he was in order to stay with his mother. Lucky for him that was an easy feat to accomplish, just don't bare your fangs until it's chow time and no one can tell- simple.

"Donno what you're talking about, I think I hide my vampirism pretty well from practice. If people can tell then it's by their instinct to stay away, I'm pretty much a predator on the human race." Now that he thought about though, people did like to do things they shouldn't and were more attracted to danger than afraid of it now a days... Was that why people tended to talk to him now and then? Geez that sucked, it wasn't like Fang could just stop being a Vampire. "Okay so some people are stupid and you may have a point, but still." he shrugged helplessly, not like he could make the kid be more persistent like his sister.

Speaking of that, the girl was soon pointed out to him, burns and all. It looked like it was painful when it happened, but the scars didn't look like they bothered the girl now. Fang wanted to ask about the story behind them, but didn't think Kronos would want to tell it.

"A headache you say? Well, I might be able to help with that if you want. Usually I prefer pretty drunken girls but I could make an exception for a friend. The offer was basically to bite the boy. The scientific reasons alluded Fang but he guessed that the loss of blood was sort of like some sort of brain fixer, or it could just be that's his special vampire power though mind erasing would be so much cooler. Anyway, he'd bitten a somber person one night just to see if there was a difference and the girl demanded to know if he was an insane Dracula fanatic or something. Fang claimed it was just a short movie stunt and she got all flustered looking for hidden cameras as she thanked him for whatever he did, it helped her own headache. It was funny to watch, but he wasn't sure if were a temporary thing or what. Blood loss... go figure.

"No, it's fine. It's not a migrane, and my best ideas come to me while I have a headache." Kronos said. It was true, some of the music he had written had come to him while he had a headache. "You know, you're the first one I've had a conversation longer than 5 minutes with. I don't count my parents or my sister, because I've been stuck with her since birth." Kronos kicked his feet onto the table and leaned his chair back on 2 legs. It was true, most people had nothing to talk about of they started talking with him, so often only a few words were said. "Gives you insight about my social capabilities."

[Fang]

"[color=red=Well don't I feel special.[/color]" The remark may seem a bit sarcastic, but it wasn't suppose to be, just an off-handed remark. To tell the truth Fang had hoped the kid would agree just so he wouldn't have to taste the stale alternative. Eh, what can you do. He shrugged to himself and took a second glance at the Astroid girl or whatever her name was. Sometimes Fang wished that he had a sibling to watch and be protective over, or just someone to keep him company, but that wasn't possible anymore.

Looking back to Kronos he said, "Everyone has good social capability, it's like any other talent. Some people are just naturally better than others but it's all on how you work at it." Fang watched the kid lean back onto two legs, hoping he wouldn't fall but not mentioning it. That tended to make people lean back further and fall when they wouldn't have if he hadn't said anything. People were weird like that. "[color=red=Anyway, what do you mean ideas?[/color]"[/size]

"I write music in my spare time. That happens to be most of the time. I used to play piano, now I use my keyboard. The pieces I'm prouder of I've written when I had a headache. Sometimes if I feel my song needs lyrics I'll have Astrid help me." Kronos bit the inside of his lip gently. "I just need something to do in this place. I won't be getting out anytime soon."

[Fang]

"Not that I don't like music or anything, but if you stay away from a problem or just flat out ignore it, it isn't going to go away. You wanna get out of here? You do something about it." The raid that was to happen on the cafeteria popped into his mind. Fang wondered if Kronos had ever met that Zane kid, actually for all he knew Kronos was apart of the raid. He thought of asking, but decided against it, he'd just find out when the time came.

Suddenly the five minute warning bell rang, Fang hadn't realized so much time had just flown by like that while he was chatting with Kronos. "Hey, I still gotta eat today so I'm going to leave a little early, but I'll catch you later okay?" He stood up but didn't move away just yet, wanting to have a proper goodbye this time.

"That's fine. I'll hang here a minute before heading to class. See ya later." Kronos said, leaning forward in his seat. He always waited until the last possible minute before heading to class because teachers hardly noticed him when he was early, anyway. He wondered if he were some socially-awkward chameleon, the way he seemed to get from place to place unnoticed. It wasn't until he had less than a minute that he flew out of his chair and raced to his next class.
